Youth Artwork On Display

Exhibitions at two locations

Cascades Raptor Center believes artwork can act as a catalyst in building connections with local wildlife and invoking a sense of outdoor wonder. The Raptor Art Challenge provided an opportunity for community members to create portraits of raptors found in the Oregon landscape.

This year’s theme highlighted Turkey Vulture and Osprey species and challenged Oregon youth, grades 2 -12, to create raptor artwork inspired by their unique adaptations.

Cascades Raptor Center received over 300 youth artwork submissions! A selection of artwork from the youth challenge is on display at the Cascades Raptor Center and at the Emerald Art Center.

We are incredibly impressed by the talent of the youth participants from around Oregon and their creativity promoting the environmental stewardship of these incredible species.
