Gold & Platinum Level Adopters of Aeolus:

Connie & Domino McArthur • In loving memory of Brady Hammer • Sharon Hayden, in honor of July Hayden • Scott Hoek • In loving memory of our birdman, Bill Bachman • Wayne Huck • Brian & Caroline Houston • Mountain Rose Herbs

Aeolus came into human care in Klamath Falls, Oregon, in June of 1996. Because he already had his full adult plumage, he is believed to have been at least 5 years old at the time. This is the age when Bald Eagles develop their characteristic white head and tail feathers.

Aeolus is one of Cascades’ longest serving ambassadors, having joined our team in 1997. A late bloomer on his training, he recently mastered the important skills of voluntary scale and crate work which help his trainers monitor his well-being.

Aeolus’s name comes from Greek mythology. This minor god was the keeper of the winds and could give heroes gentle west winds to assist them on their safe voyages home.
